ePet ID is a state-of-the-art pet locator service
If you've ever had a pet go missing you know how worrisome it can be for both you and your pet. When your pet wears an ePet ID on his or her collar chances are you and your pet can be reunited much quicker.
When someone finds your pet without an ePet ID it takes much longer to get the pet back to you because they either have to take the pet to a vet or animal shelter to be scanned or worst case if a chip is not found they need to be cared for until the owners are found.
Imagine your pet is found wandering in the neighborhood and a good samaritan stops to help him or her. They would notice a bright red ePet ID tag attached to their collar.
On the ePet ID tag there is an imprinted message that informs the finder to go to www.ePetID.com and enter the ePet ID code into a notification box on the site.
The next thing that happens when the ePet ID tag is entered the finder sees some information about your pet including, breed, color, weight, identifying marks and any medical issues your pet might have.
Now that the finder knows your pets name they can comfort them until you come to pick them up.
The finder is asked to enter three pieces of information into a contact form.
- Their First Name
- Their email address
- Their phone number where they can be reached
After they have entered their information and clicked on the "Notify Owners" button you wiil receive an SMS message and an email letting you know that your pet has been found and how to reach the finder.
If you have entered 2 additional contacts in your admin area they will also receive the same notifications as you. This can be family members or friends if you wish.
Yes your information is secure.
Our site is secure and your password is encrypted.
When you first purchase your ePet ID it is mailed out to you. Once you receive and activate the tag it is active for one full year. Everything is included in the price of the tag.
We will notify you 30 days before the tag expires, which will give you plenty of time to renew for an additional year.
The yearly renewal cost is less and is only $14.95 This works out at only $0.04 per day for this amazing technology .
You don't need a new ePet ID tag, that's why renewals are less expensive.
Simply enter your ePet ID code into the box at www.ePetID.com then enter the requested information into the boxes on the next page. After you click the "Notify Owners" button you should receive an SMS text message as well as an email letting you know your pet has been found.
If you've set up additional contacts in your admin area they should receive the messages at the same time as you.
Verify as often as you wish and demo to family and friends so they can see how it works and buy for their own pets.
Yes you can transfer ownership of your ePet ID and account.
If you're pet moves to a new home or passes away you can transfer the ePet ID to the new owners or just let the tag expire.
All you would do is give them access to your admin account and they would enter new information such as names, phone numbers and email addresses and of course change the password.
ePet ID is very different and unique when it comes to helping reunite you and your pet.
Unlike some other pet collars and tags WE DO NOT rely on batteries.
WE DO NOT use GPS tracking. With todays hectic work schedule all it takes is for you to leave the GPS collar on the charger and your pet gets lose they will be running around naked.
If you forget to charge the collar and your pet gets out then you won't be able to track your pet down.
There are other types of pet tags that have QR codes imprinted on them. If someone finds your pet and does not have a smart phone with a QR reader then it's not going to help them contact you.
Yes we recomend having an ePet ID tag on your pet at all times. It's tyhe easiest and fastest way to reunite you and your pet.
There are a selection of microchip manufactures. If a finder happens to take your pet somewhere to be scanned and they don't have the correct scanner it's not going to help you get your pet back.
Microchips have a tendency to migrate. This means over time and as you pet grows the microchip might not be in the same place that it was inserted. It could travel down the back or down the side of your pets body which makes it very difficult to find and scan.
